  1. E. Zuckman says:

I received my copy from Amazon about three months ago. I did not look at it for several weeks then started reading it on an airplane. That made the trip to San Diego seem to be the fastest ever. First, I could not pickup your book and now I cannot put it down. I am starting the third reading and each time I am learning more. This needs to be required reading for those of us who are living with our diabetes and those that support people with diabetes (my honorary type 3s)

Most importantly, the information is significant and useful in helping us make our choices on how to control diabetes. I hope that you are not going to stop at 50 myths but continue on to 100 myths and even more. Your literary style peeks our interest, is tutorial without being overbearingly academic and reading it is a pleasant experience. I may be feeling sorry for those who do not have diabetes and are unable to be touched and moved by this book.

    More, please. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . !

  2. There’s a deluge of misinformation on the market about diabetes. Author Riva Greenberg – also a patient – separates myth from truth in “50 Diabetes Myths That Can Ruin Your Life and the 50 Diabetes Truths That Can Save It”, a fine survey identifying the fifty most common popular diabetes myths and the realities. Interviews with experts in diabetes care accompany details on not just myths, but how to use real information to manage the condition and live a longer, healthier life.

I would recommend it for all people with diabetes, their friends/family and anyone who wants to know the Truths about diabetes. You can eat ice-cream (see Myth #28).

  4. I didn’t think I was going to like this book at first, because I knew I was becoming educated about diabetes and didn’t believe any myths. However, the format and content was well written and informative, and I learned a great deal. I am going to show it to my doctor at my next appointment as I think she should know about it and recommend it to her patients.
